It specializes in designing and manufacturing engine cooling fans, fan drives, and related components for on- and off-highway vehicles, motor coaches, buses, construction and agricultural equipment, generators, etc.

They wanted to create an online shopping portal for their B2B customers. They needed this portal to take product information from a system called OptiCat and display it in a way that was easy for their customers to use.

Challenges

Horton encountered substantial obstacles in eCommerce Data Migration from OptiCat to an eCommerce platform, struggling with technical issues and broader data management concerns. They were unable to import 360-degree images for their products. Horton aimed to create a business-to-business (B2B) purchasing platform for their clients, which required the conversion and display of product information sourced from Opticat. They looked for B2B eCommerce integration.

Solutions

Wagento suggested the client to go with Adobe Commerce and its specialized B2B functionalities to meet the project requirements. To begin with eCommerce Data Migration, we employed OptiCat’s APIs for seamless migration, transformation, and presentation of product data and assets directly into Adobe Commerce. This tool allows customers to search for products using competitors’ part numbers, making it easier to find corresponding stock-keeping units (SKUs) within Horton’s product range.
